I was hired to design and build Scrooge McDuck’s money bin for 8 bit’s event tonight.
It kind of felt like we were building a Disney ride when we were making it.. pretty psyched.
We really need to go back to this place before they take it down. D:

Footage of a lunchtime softball game from the early 1930’s with Walt Disney and his staff, filmed behind the Hyperion Avenue studio in Los Angeles, CA.
It is unknown why this was shot with live sound but it was photographed either for posterity or maybe to send to the spectators as a souvenir of their visit.
This sums up Anita Sarkeesian’s “research methods” perfectly. She’s the kind of person who suffers from confirmation bias. That is, she reaches a conclusion first and then looks for evidence to support it. And some of her videos are very reaching in terms of finding sexism/misogyny.
Is it any wonder that she disables comments and ratings on her videos? And moderates the comments heavily on her website? I don’t think so.
Anita has been releasing a sort-of new Youtube vid series called “Tropes vs. Women in Video Games”. She’s done 2/13 videos so far, and she has yet to show how misogyny in video games correlates to the misogyny in real life. One of the response videos to her claims that she has it backwards- that the sexism in the real world influences sexism in video games, not the other way around. Something to think about, I guess. Chicken or the egg, anyone?
